How do I geoblock specific countries?

Broadcasting licensing bodies (like SoundExchange, PRS, or GEMA) require stations to restrict playouts to specific country borders. YonaCast Radio includes a native **Geoblocking engine** powered by a country GeoIP database.

How to configure Geoblocking:

1. Go to the **Geoblocking** page from your sidebar.
2. Select your **Rule Mode**:
   • Block Countries: Specifically block the selected countries. All other locations can listen.
   • Allow Countries Only: Only the selected countries can connect. The rest of the world is blocked.
3. Select the countries you want to include in your list by clicking them in the grid.
4. Click **Save Rules**.

How it blocks listeners:

When a listener connects to your stream, YonaCast checks their IP address against our GeoIP database. If their IP originates from a blocked country, the stream server instantly drops the connection with a 403 Forbidden status, preserving your bandwidth.
