How do I change the stream output bitrate?

YonaCast Radio allows you to adjust the audio streaming quality of your station directly from your settings panel.

How to change your bitrate:

1. Go to the **Settings** page from your sidebar.
2. Scroll down to the **Output Settings** card.
3. Select your target bitrate from the dropdown menu. Available options are:
   • 64 kbps (Ideal for low-bandwidth mobile listeners or talk-only shows)
   • 96 kbps (Balanced compromise between quality and bandwidth)
   • 128 kbps (Standard high-quality MP3 broadcast)
   • 192 kbps (Studio quality music streaming)
   • 256 kbps (Pro-broadcaster / Audiophile quality)
   • 320 kbps (Highest quality MP3 stream supported)
4. Click **Save Settings**.
5. ⚠️ **CRITICAL:** Click the **Restart Services** button that appears. This forces the playout engine and Icecast encoding mounts to restart and apply the new encoding bitrate.

Max Bitrate Clamping:

If you see some higher bitrate options disabled (greyed out) in your settings, it means your server administrator has set a **Max Bitrate Limit** for your station. To unlock higher bitrates, you must ask your administrator to increase your station's limit.
